It's true that most dog owners think their fur baby is the cutest one of all, but Vancouver Canuck Chris Tanev's pug might actually be the winner. The defenceman may be all business on the ice, but at home, he melts with love for little Riley. In an interview with NHL's After the Buzzer, Tanev gushed about Riley and his silly antics.\n"We’ve had him for a few years now. He’s a cute little guy and he loves to eat," he said. "He doesn’t like to exercise too much, but he likes to sleep a lot."\n"He’s always fun to have around because he’s so entertaining and he’s always smiling. He loves us and always puts a smile on your face."\nTanev says that his fiance and her brother adopted Riley "three or four years ago" after his previous owner passed away.\n"His partner couldn’t take care of the dog anymore, so they took him in, and now Riley’s with us full time," says Tanev. Something tells us it was the best decision they could've made.\nA few weeks ago, after some peer pressure from his fellow teammates Elias Pettersson and Quinn Hughes, Tanev finally caved and got Instagram. The first photo he posted was of, you guessed it, Riley. Chilling in a box.\nView this post on Instagram Meet Riley, Chris Tanev’s pug. Taney put up this adorable photo of Riley in a box a few days ago after @_eliaspettersson & @_quinnhughes made him get an Instagram account: @tanevchris. Tanev isn’t quite sold on it. “I might delete my account, haven’t decided yet. I don’t think it’s for me, but the boys like that I’m on it.” You better ❤️ this photo while you can!
