You butterbeer-lieve we’re excited about this one.
Calling all witches, wizards, and muggles! If social distancing has made you re-watch and re-read enough Hogwarts content to last a lifetime, we’ve got just the thing. A new virtual Harry Potter escape room will be available for a limited time, and it’s perfect for all the Potterheads out there.
The online escape room uses photos, text, and clips from the movies to immerse participants in the wizarding world of Harry Potter.
The game begins with a mysterious challenge in your first year at Hogwarts.
Players will have to put their wizard knowledge and memory to the test to escape the virtual puzzle.
The game, which is totally free to play, can be enjoyed individually or in groups.
So if you and your besties can’t hang out IRL right now, you can hop on a video call and escape together that way, too.
According to the escape room’s website, the game will only be available until the COVID-19 pandemic is under control.
“Warner Brothers has requested that the Hogwarts Digital Escape Room be taken down once the current COVID-19 crisis comes to a close. Please enjoy it with family and friends in the meantime,” reads a blurb on the site.
The game, which was created by Sydney Krawiec, is relatively quick, taking only 10 minutes or so to complete.
You should be prepared to put your math skills and your wand abilities to the test along the way, though.
Once complete, escapists will have the chance to fill out a small survey and provide feedback on their experience.
Virtual escape rooms are just one of the many ways we can all stay social and have a good time amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Fromto live , there’s plenty to keep us entertained.
But if you’re looking to flex your Potter skills above all else, why not give this escape room a try?
