The season for truly magical light displays is upon us, and we couldn’t be more thrilled. If you live in the capital and are looking for Christmas lights in Ottawa, you’re in luck. The famous and magical Alight at Night festival is returning for winter 2019 and finally opens this weekend.

You’ll feel like you’re walking through a real-life postcard as you stroll through this charming village of lights.

And if the breathtaking displays aren’t enough to spark your interest, the festival offers so much more holiday cheer for you to enjoy.

With everything from classic Christmas carols to romantic horse-drawn sleigh rides, mouth-watering baked goods and more, you’re sure to find something to brighten up your night.

There are even a handful of restaurants and cafes within the village where you can pop in, warm-up, and grab a delicious bite to eat.

Want to take a trip on a holiday toy train ride? They’ve got that, too.

This festival is a long-standing tradition for many in the Ottawa area. With so much popularity, you won’t want to illumi-wait to get your tickets.

So, hop in that group chat ASAP to pick a time for the squad to finally visit Alight at Night.

Tickets are on sale now for $16 plus tax per person. With a variety of time slots available, you're sure to find one that fits into your holiday schedule.

It's important to note that Saturdays are the busiest time and you should plan your evening accordingly.

To have everything run smoother, you can purchase your tickets online in advance. This allows you to stand in the prepaid express line and really cuts down on time.

In addition to the dazzling lights, the cost of admission also covers group horse wagon rides, toy train rides, music in the church, and visits to the bakery.

If you keep your receipt on hand, you have the ability to leave and re-enter the village on the same evening. However, you will have to stand in line again for this.
