Tulip Festivals In BC Are Cancelled But You Can Still Bring Them Home This Spring
The best way to see the flowers.🌷
Bring spring indoors. Just because you are spending more time in the living room than usual doesn't mean you can't enjoy all the breathtaking blossoms across the province. It just got so much easier to see the flowers from B.C.'s tulip festivals after they were cancelled. You can now buy the colourful blooms to brighten up your home and it's the best way to see the tulips since you can't go to the fields this year.
The popularin the Fraser Valley have been cancelled but the hope is that the highly anticipated sunflower festival should still happen in the summer.
Kate Onos-Gilbert, founder of Tulips of the Valley, said to Narcity in an email that they "hope we will be able to welcome guests back to our fields this summer for the annual Chilliwack Sunflower Festival," which should happen in August all things permitting.
Updates confirming if indeed thewill still happen will be posted on their website and social media.
But the good news is now you can see the flowers much closer to home.
They will be for sale at local grocery stores, including Real Canadian Superstore and Save-On-Foods. The festival is working with grocery stores across B.C. and Western Canada to stock the blooms.
For those of you who don't have a car, it makes it so much easier to see the flowers as you can walk to your nearby shop.
The next time you are are out of fresh produce, make sure to pick up a bouquet of colourful blooms too. They are a fantastic way to make your house seem more cheerful.
When you're spending, a bouquet of sunshine yellow or Barbie pinnk buds is just what we need to cheer us up. It is hard not to smile when you have a cheerful burst of colour on your desk.
If you want, you could still take your selfie with the buds too. Go ahead and be creative, perhaps you could sit next to a few vases of tulips.
