14 Places To Go Out In Edmonton This Summer If You Don’t Drink
No booze? No problem!
Now that summer's here, you've probably seen a plethora of posts about all the best spots to drink in Edmonton. All your friends are constantly inviting you to their favourite patios or telling you about the amazing drink deals they've found.
That's cool and all, but what about the people that don't drink?! You definitely shouldn't be expected to sit at home every weekend while all your friends go out and have all the fun.
There's plenty of amazing places in Edmonton for you to visit if you don't drink, sometimes it's just a matter of finding them! Luckily for you, we've picked out a few that we think are worth checking out:
Where: 2 Sir Winston Churchill Square
There's always something new and interesting to check out at the AGA! Go for a solo visit, or bring along your friends to snap some artsy pictures. The cost to get in isn't insane, but if you're looking to save some money, visit on Tuesday or Wednesday between 5 - 8 p.m. for free admission.

A little friendly competition can do you good! Head to the Hexagon Board Game Cafe on Whyte Ave, and challenge your friends to an old favourite, or a new game. They've got hundreds to choose from, as well as an awesome food and drinks menu!

Escape rooms are never a bad way to spend an evening, and there are so many unique ones popping up around Edmonton! Check out the X Realm on Jasper Ave with your friends, family, or significant other, and see just how well you can work together as a team.

While a lot of people go to the Rec Room for drinks, you can definitely still have fun there while sober! There's an abundance of games to be played, and they often have some form of live entertainment as well as great food for you to feast on.

A night at the movies can be very entertaining, especially in an old-school cinema like the Metro! Check out an old classic, a low-key alternative flick, or something you usually would never think to watch! Don't forget to grab some popcorn.

Alberta may not have many outdoor beaches, but we do have World Waterpark, and that's close enough. Head to West Edmonton Mall and spend the day trying out all of the insane waterslides! The best part? You won't get a sunburn.

While all your friends are out day drinking, you can take a walk through the beautiful University of Alberta Botanic Gardens. They often have activities happening out here, and it's a great spot to bring your camera and work on your photography skills.

Even if you're horrible a bowling like me, it's still a pretty fun way to spend an evening. Get together a group of your closest friends, and challenge yourselves to see who can sink the fewest gutterballs.

There's no denying that the Alberta Legislature Building is a beautiful spot. No matter if you're touring the building itself, or just having a picnic or hanging out outside, you'll always have an amazing view.
