Canada's Largest Indoor Christmas Lights Display Is Coming To Edmonton, Alberta This Winter
This holiday event is the perfect way to celebrate the Christmas season.
Summer has been fun and all, but unfortunately that season is long, long gone. Alberta already had its first hit of snowfall and it doesn't look like the winter weather is going to stop anytime soon. So autumn was pretty much cancelled in Edmonton. But on the bright side, one of the best things that the winter season brings is Christmas! If you are already counting down the days to the holidays, then you're going to be seriously stoked on the news we have for you.
There are so many cute activities that the holiday season brings. Who's excited to go to Christmas markets, go sledding and decorate the Christmas tree? We know we are. One of the things we love most about the holiday season is all the beautiful lights that brighten up the city.
We cannot wait to see Edmonton all decked out in Christmas lights. This holiday season is about to get a bit more magical because a brand new indoor Christmas festival is coming to the city, bringing 500,000 lights in a massive 64,000 square feet sized space.
This event is set to be the biggest indoor one of its kind in Edmonton for the 2018 holiday season! You'll be able to enjoy 64,000 square foot of indoor space for Christmas festivities. Glow Christmas was one ofjust last year, and this year they're bringing the holiday magic to new cities across the country.
Christmas Glow will be debuting for the first time ever in Edmonton, Alberta and we could not be more excited to see over 500,000 lights to dazzle the city. The indoor light festival will run from November 22, 2018 to January 19, 2019, giving you plenty of time to partake in the fun. It will also be in Barrie, Ontario for the first time and for the second time in Vancouver, BC.
Christmas Glow will bring so many cute and fun holiday activities to Edmonton. The indoor Christmas light festival will have several light gardens in 80,000 sq ft space with interactive light sculptures. There will be a musical light tunnel (sure to be instaworthy) that is 210-foot long and twinkling with over 50,000 lights.
For food and drinks, you'll have tons of options to be satisfied by – a Christmas market with over 20 vendors will be onsite and you can eat and drink your heart out at the local food trucks and breweries.
Right now, you can already get tickets for Christmas Glow. According to the creators of the event, last year most of the dates in Vancouver had already sold out online in advance, and especially since this year will mark the event's first in Edmonton, it may be better to be safe than sorry and make sure you get your chance to see the magical lights by purchasing in advance.
Tickets cost $22.99 for adults and $16.99 for children and seniors if you buy online. The entrance cost will be roughly $2 more if you purchase at the gate. Right now, there's even an Early Bird special: you can save 40% off tickets if you buy them from now until September 25th, on tickets for the dates of November 22 to December 6.
