A post shared by Water Lantern Festival (@waterlanternfestival) on May 31, 2019 at 1:01pm PDT Just like the lantern festivals in Asia, you'll have the opportunity to see thousands of floating lanterns softly glowing on the water. So make sure to have your camera ready, because it will look incredible! View this post on Instagram Rather than sending a note in a bottle down a river, why not send a lantern down instead? ๐ฎ . . Many gathered at the Port Credit Memorial Park for the @waterlanternfestival this past Saturday and many were there for different reasons. Some stories are romantic and others are very sad, but it was a very magical moment to see the many lanterns lit up upon nightfall and to see them float down the river. Peaceful, calm and quiet. The hardest part for me was thinking about what to write on my lantern, but I finally chose to write things that I am thankful for this year including coming back on Instagram and my hopes for balance and peace in the protests happening around the world and especially my hope for Hong Kong. Love was a very popular theme found among the many lanterns as it should very much be so because at the end of the day, hate will only drive more hate and only love can overcome hate. I invite you to join in the fun next year when they will be back for another year of fun! . . . . #bloggerscanada #makeawish #waterlanternfestival #torontosummer #lantern #torontofestival #waterlantern #insauga #ilovemississauga #happiness #mississaugaevent #torontoblogger #ilovemississauga #inthe6ix #torontodateidea #torontoevents #torontofinds #torontoinsta #toronto #torontoactivity #torontofun #sauga #mississauga #torontofestival #torontoevent #exploretoronto #mississaugafestival #torontothingstodo #explorethe6ix #portcredit A post shared by Wendy | Toronto (@xowendyli) on Aug 13, 2019 at 6:28pm PDT At the Water Lantern Festival, you'll have the chance to decorate your lantern with the supplies provided.
