A floral wonderland awaits. Even if you don't have a green thumb, you can enjoy a garden overflowing with sweet-smelling blooms. If colourful flowers always make you smile, you'll want to stroll through this spot in Edmonton. The University of Alberta Botanic Garden is finally open and the enchanting rose trail is waiting to be discovered. The 240-acre garden announced that as of Monday, June 1, they would be open to the public again. The changes come just in time to allow you some of the best buds this summer, like lilacs, roses and peonies. Although you can expect some changes. For example, you can't show up and buy tickets. Instead, you'll need to register in advance and claim one of the time slots. Once inside, you'll have two hours to explore but will need to stay at least two metres away from anyone. The indoor spaces will stay closed, but you will be able to see the top sights within the outdoor gardens. Just make sure to be mindful of the fact some of the pathways are one way only. One of the most breathtaking areas in the warmer months is the rose trail in the collections garden. You can find it just before the pine pavilion in the back.
