GO Transit's Niagara Weekend Deal Ends Next Month So Use It Before You Lose It
It's the perfect package!
There are only a few more weekends left of summer, and also to take advantage of the GO Train weekend Niagara deal. If you've been looking for something to do with your days off, this could be just what you need. But you better act fast!
GO Transit's seasonal weekend train to Niagara runs until September 1, though it will return especially for Thanksgiving weekend. The package deal gives you access to roundtrip train to Niagara and unlimited bus services when you get there.
"People want to get away and of course they want to avoid traffic and the headache and the hassle of driving there, so we're offering a more convenient, comfortable option," Nitish Bissonauth, spokesperson for Metrolinx, told Narcity.*
The roundtrip train service costs $35 per person or $65 for groups. With your ticket purchase, the GO Train fare is covered along with the fare for WEGO — a hop-on, hop-off bus that goes throughout the city of Niagara Falls and Niagara Parks.
"This continues to be a great value to customers," said Bissonauth. "The idea of all of this is really that one ticket means one less thing to do."
With this deal, you can take in all the sights in Niagara Falls.
The area boasts attractions such as the whirlpool aero car, the historic Queenston Heights, the casino, and the Falls themselves.
You can also hop off the WEGO in Niagara-on-the-Lake and venture out to wineries like Inniskillin and Lailey or the downtown core of the idyllic town.
"We want to make it easy for people to experience the fun and excitement of the Niagara region," said Bissonauth.
