This Mac and Cheese Festival is North America's largest food festival celebrating mac and cheese. It's the festival's fifth anniversary this year. The festival has been touring the country, and it finally arrives in Halifax this September 2019!

The Mac and Cheese Festival will take place at the Halifax Waterfront from Sep. 13 to 15, 2019. At the event, various celebrity chefs and food vendors will be competing for the Most Creative Award, People's Choice Award, and Judge's Choice Award. The winning team of each contest will get a cash prize and some serious bragging rights!

At this mouthwatering food festival, you'll be able to try all sorts of unique variations on mac and cheese and then vote for your favourites. Last year, some of the crazy concoctions included lobster mac and cheese, a mac and cheese waffle, and a mac and cheese taco! So make sure to arrive hungry because there'll be tons of delicious food to try!

Entry to the Mac and Cheese Festival in Halifax is free! All you'll need to pay for is the food you want to eat. As the event takes place over three days, you might need to come back a few times to try all the delicious food.
