The higher the climb, the better the view. Why bother hitting the gym when you can work out your legs and glutes while soaking up the sunshine? The next time you want to get your endorphins pumping, climb this 4-kilometre mountain staircase trail in B.C. to a breathtaking lake lookout. When it comes to fitness hikes, the first that comes to mind might be the famous Grouse Grind. But let's face it: sometimes we aren't up to the challenge of its thousands of steps. Thankfully, there is an easier alternative that boasts a remarkable view. The next time you are in Kelowna, you need to try the Apex Trail in Knox Mountain Park. Located north of downtown Kelowna, the hiking route is perfect for getting a workout while enjoying breathtaking sights. The trail is easy enough that most people can complete it in around an hour. It is a steep incline the entire way up, but it isn't too challenging. To help you reach the top there are stairs in sections of the path. Once you finally reach the summit, you'll want to take a break and savour the view. From the Apex Lookout at the summit, you can enjoy a panoramic lookout that we would never tire of. View this post on Instagram Some of my best ideas come to me when I’m out in nature 🌲 🏔 ☀️ - Who’s with me? When you give your mind nothing to focus on but the present moment, creativity goes into overdrive! - I’ll be meeting with Cooper’s trainer soon for a Social Media Consultation. As I was hiking Knox Mountain & appreciating what a good boy Cooper is becoming, I started thinking of different strategies for growing her page. - Here’s one I’ll share with you today: Authentic Interactions 🐶 Think of Social Media as a “digital” community. There are different cities (location), interests (hashtags) & people (accounts) to interact with! It’s like a networking platform available to you IF you take the time and correct strategy to utilize it. - 1. What are the top small cities you serve in? 2. Now search those locations in Instagram and any photos that appear as your target customer take time to interact with them! Ie a photo of a dog or person with their dog. 3. Leave authentic comments on that photo and a few other photos on their page and maybe even give the page a follow! 4. Continue to do this every few days, keeping in touch with the same accounts over time. 5. While doing this and building valuable content on your page, this will bring attention and value to your target audience in your community + help with Instagram’s algorithm so your content is seen by more people! 6. You can even take this a step further and do community features of local dogs! (Asking permission first of course) - This is just one of the many strategies for authentic local growth...stay tuned for more! . . . . . . . . . #knoxmountain #hiking #beautifulbc #girlswhohike #dogtraining #dogtrainingtips #socialmedia #socialmediamarketing #socialmediamanager #socialmediacoach #yvrsocialmediaspecialist #fraservalley #thefraservalley #yvrlife #digitalmarketingtools #digitalmarketingagency A post shared by Jenny | Social Media Manager (@jennymerk) on Oct 12, 2019 at 10:40am PDT Website We strongly advise that before you go swimming or visit any location, you check the most recent updates on potential hazards, security, water quality, and closures.
