Ottawa's Huge Coffee Fest Is Back This Spring & It's A Latte Fun
You'll be full of beans!
Calling all caffeine addicts! If you value that first morning cup above all else, this one’s for you. When it comes to local coffee shops and roasters, Ottawa has a lot to hang its hat on. And in honour of the capital’s excellent choices, a huge Ottawa Coffee Fest is returning to the city this spring.
This year’s second annual festival is set to brew on March 21 and 22 in the capital's Horticulture Building at Lansdowne.
It’ll feature some delicious and unlimited cup of joe samples and espresso beverages for you to try. The best part? They're all free to sample if you buy a ticket.*
And, of course, there’s plenty more in place, such as incredible swag, live entertainment, and more to mocha sure you have a truly amazing time at the event. Milk it to your heart's content.
With a host of great food vendors, too, you'll be spoiled for choice. This year, 2019 food vendors Art Is In Bakery and Hummingbird Chocolates will make a return, and new vendors Rebel Chocolates, La Lichée and Dona will tantalize your taste buds. Some roasters will also offer food at their booths.
Although, to be honest, the promise of coffee samples is more than enough to ensure that those true java lovers enjoy themselves.
You can expect talks and workshops from coffee industry professionals as well.
Tickets are on sale now, and the first 200 sold will receive a free surprise gift from festival partner Eight Ounce Coffee Supply.
So if you consider yourself a regular Lorelai Gilmore, be sure to mark your calendars and get ready to be caffeinated!
Festival attendees can expect beats from live DJs to really keep that buzz going all day long.
As if that’s not enough, you can also vote on your favourite coffee roasters for a chance to win some awesome prizes.
A portion of the proceeds will go to Ecology Ottawa, so you can rest easy knowing you’re feeding your addiction for a good cause.
Tickets are $18 for 2020, which gives you access to unlimited coffee samples and espresso-based drinks, as well as the talks scheduled during your selected session time.
Ticket prices have yet to be announced this year.
So, go on, espresso yourself in the best way you know how, and head on down this year.
Ours is a venti, thanks!
