You Can Watch "IT" & Other Horror Movies At This Ontario Drive-In For The Halloween Season
Open 7 days a week starting at 7 p.m.
There's something about cloudy days and the cool fall weather that just makes you want to grab your warmest blanket, grab a snack or two and stay indoors while you watch some scary movies. Whether it be with a couple of friends or even a cute date, why not switch it up a bit and plan a drive-in outing to watch this year's scary movies on the big silver screen at the 5 Drive-In. This is the perfect way to put you into the spooky Halloween spirit if this weather hasn't already.
Before Mother Nature decides to change the course of things, now is your chance to visit one of the GTA's known drive-ins. The 5 Drive-In located in Oakville will bring you back to a simpler time where watching movies was a pretty big deal.
This October you can hop in your car and catch the new Joker movie. You also still have a chance to watch IT: Chapter 2 if you still haven't had the opportunity. Two clown movies? If that isn't in the spirit of Halloween then I don't know what is.
What's even better is that this outing won't break the bank. Tickets are $13 per person, but if you go Tuesdays you can score tickets for only $8.
When it comes to food, they have a long list of options available for snacking, you'll be sure to find something that'll satisfy your hunger.
If Oakville is a bit of a drive for you, there are other drive-ins across Ontario to catch a movie, so finding the perfect location won't be much of a struggle.
Starlite drive-in theatre in Hamilton, Sunset Barrie, Stardust drive-in located in Newmarket, and Mustang in London will all also be airing some spooky movies this Halloween season.
5-Drive-In's website lists the things you might want to bring so you can have the ultimate drive-in experience. So don't forget your pillows and blankets, and even some camping chairs if you get a little tired from sitting in your car.
Since the drive-in is outside, you also don't want to forget your bug spray.
Take note that if you decide to hit up one of these drive-ins, you need a working radio in order to actually listen to the movie. If that doesn't seem to be the case then arrive early to get a front seat where their speakers are located.
