It's finally summer in the 6ix! It's actually been summer officially since June 20th, but that's no matter. It's July at last, and we're loving the weather and all the amazing summer vibes.

One of the best things about summer in Toronto is all the free events. You don't have to spend money to have a good time during the summer. Make the most of summer sixteen by filling up your calendar with all these fun and free events happening this month!

1. Watch Canada Day fireworks.

What better way to celebrate the first day of the month? Watch them at Woodbine beach or Harbourfront Centre.


2. Multicultural Canada Day @ Yonge-Dundas Square

Toronto's multiculturalism is awesome. Celebrate it at Yonge-Dundas Square on Canada Day and be part of the Living Canadian Flag.

3. Eat at Taste of Downsview.

There'll be plenty of food trucks and vendors for you to enjoy. Happening July 2nd.

4. Indulge at Toronto Ribfest.

Toronto Ribfest will be bustling with fun activities and filled with great vendors selling delicious, juicy ribs. The celebration is from June 30th to July 3rd in Etobicoke.

5. Celebrate the waterfront at the Redpath Waterfront Festival.

A bunch of tall ships will be docking at Toronto's waterfront just for the festival, including two of the The Royal Canadian Navy's ships. Happening July 1st to 3rd.

Be enchanted by the beautiful Toronto Music Garden while listening to love ballads and soothing tunes. Concerts take place on most Thursday evenings and Sunday afternoons.

12. Catch a free flick along the Harbourfront.

Grab a picnic blanket and catch a flick under the stars at the Harbourfront Centre. They'll be showing free movies every Wednesday for the rest of the summer. The Visitor will be playing July 6th, A Little Princess July 13th, The Grand Seduction July 20th, and The Mighty Quinn July 27th.
