Best Free Things To Do This January 2016 In Toronto
Now that the holidays are over.
Happy 2016 everybody! Get the new year started right by doing some cool and fun free events in the city. From riding the TTC in your underwear to skating around Harbourfront in cosplay, there are a lot of great events happening this month.
1. No Pants Subway Ride & Dance Party
Feel like letting loose and going pants-less? Do it for the day. Join in on the annual No Pants Subway Ride party January 10th on the TTC.
2. Free Japanese Movies @ Bloor Cinema
Are you into the whole foreign movie thing? Even if you're not, it's definitely worth it to try something new (especially if it's free!) Catch all the free screenings at the Bloor Cinema.

3. NOW Free Flick Mondays @ Royal Cinema
Fancy something you've probably already seen already? On January 11th, watch Scott Pilgrim vs. the World for free at the Royal Cinema. The first 100 guests will be treated to free popcorn.
4. Higher Learning: First Things First - Coming of Age in Canadian Film @ TIFF Bell Lightbox
Here's one for all you film junkies: a free panel discussion exploring five coming-of-age-themed films debuting at this year's Canada’s Top Ten Film Festival. It will be moderated by film critic Jason Anderson of the Toronto Star. Check it out January 15th at the TIFF Bell Lightbox.
5. Trinity Bellwoods Flea
Indulge yourself in local eats and sweet treats at the Trinity Bellwoods Flea. There'll also be fashion, vintage, and handmade vendors on-site for you to browse. Pets are welcome! Check it out January 23rd on Dundas West.
6. Cosplay Hangout @ Nathan Phillips Square
Can't wait all the way until Anime North to get all cosplayed up? Hang out with the Cosplay Hangout Group and meet other cool cosplayers at Nathan Phillips Square on January 23rd.
7. Winter Wonderland Cosplay Event @ Harbourfront Centre
This is the one cosplay event you're definitely not going to want to miss. Almost 7,000 people are interested or going so it's going to be massive. Don't forget to come in costume (although it's not required)! It's being hosted by the Ontario Cosplay Community and it's happening January 30th.
