Winter weekends have been great all season and there is so much to do all over the city. Now that it's right before Christmas, people are getting ready to spend time with family and take some time off work. However, there are still multiple things to do in Toronto this weekend if you need some inspiration on how to spend the last weekend before Christmas. A new skate trail is opening this weekend in Toronto, and it is right under the Gardiner! It will be a figure 8 skate trail with hot chocolate stops and warming stations. Toronto's newest skate destination will be a great way to enjoy an afternoon for cheap. There are also still tons of parties and events happening, too. Take a break from all the holiday preparation and go out for a night on the town to warm up from the cold. The winter Solstice also arrives this weekend on December 21, meaning the days are about to get longer and we are slowly moving away from that 5 p.m. darkness. Celebrate the longer days in Kensington Market for their Winter Solstice Festival which will have performers and a lantern lighting. There are also some cool art markets and holiday parties going on, as well as movie screenings, so don't miss out on a chance to enjoy the holiday season. So grab your friends, loved ones, or even yourself, and check out these events that are sure to keep you entertained all weekend long.\nSkating on The Bentway Skate Trail\nPrice: Free\nWhen: December 20 - January 5, 2020, from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.\nAddress: 250 Fort York Blvd., Toronto, ON\nWhy You Need To Go: The Gardiner is transforming into a figure 8 skating rink and they will have hot chocolate, skate lessons, and skate rentals available. \n View this post on Instagram Sharpen your skates and meet us on the ice next month, #Toronto ⛸️ The Bentway Skate Trail opens Dec 20! #SkateThe8 📷: @bbishopairport . . ____ ❄️ The Bentway's Winter 2019/20 season is supported by: @cityofto, @bbishopairport, @labattbreweries, @quakercanada, and @fortyork . . . . .⠀ #thebentway #bentway #TObentway #bentwayTO #skating #torontoskating #winter #iceskating #outdoorskating A post shared by The Bentway 📍Toronto (@thebentway) on Nov 23, 2019 at 2:00pm PST\n\nWebsite\n\n\n\n\nAddams Family Christmas Bazaar\nPrice: Free admission\nWhen: December 20, 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.\nAddress: 347 Keele St., Toronto, ON\nWhy You Need To Go: This is a Christmas in Halloween theme bazaar with live entertainment, food and drinks, local vendors, fashion, and the best costume contest with prizes.\n View this post on Instagram Only a few days left till our event begins!
