December is fast approaching folks and you know what that means! In just a few short weeks we'll be seeing endless snowy days where the streets become blanketed in white fluffy snow. While that might not sound super appealing to some people, it really does make the city look magical during the holiday season.

The best place to go during the holidays in Toronto is to Casa Loma! Every year they transform this magical castle into a real-life winter wonderland for the season. A Nutcracker Christmas at the Castle is going to transform the grounds into a spectacular display of lights, live performances, and festivities for the holidays!

A Nutcracker Christmas at the Castle officially starts this weekend on December 1st and runs until January 6th! Guests can visit anytime during the day on those dates from 9:30am-5pm but only at night on December 17th until December 23rd from 5-9pm.

Anyone who visits this stunning event will be surrounded by holiday magic as they explore the gardens covered with hundreds of twinkling lights, the indoors decorated with unreal holiday decor including a 40 ft. Christmas tree, a Santa's workshop for the kids (and adults too), and even ice skating performances!

Those aren't the only things this magical event has in store for us, they're also hosting a huge outdoor Christmas market as well as live performances by the Casa Loma Holiday Orchestra!

This fairy-tale castle will have 8 other signature Christmas trees created by local designers, a station to decorate your own holiday treats, carolers, and much more! They'll also have a station where you can drop off toys to go to a child without this Christmas. A dollar of the proceeds from each ticket also goes the CP24 CHUM Christmas Wish Foundation for the holidays.

So you can have fun and do your good deeds for the season all at one cheerful event! Casa Loma will be closed on Christmas day but they'll be open New Years day so plan your visit accordingly.
