It’s time to take the scenic route! If it’s fall foliage that you’re after, then this gorgeous eight-kilometre hiking trail in Ontario has everything you’re looking for and more. You can wander across bridges, traipse through the forest, and discover a tiny island, all while surrounded by fabulous fall colours. Located in Torrance, Ont., Hardy Lake Provincial Park is roughly two hours away from Toronto, making it an ideal day trip destination. Editor's Choice: An Ontario Casting Call Will Pay You Up To $300 A Day To Star In A Haunted Television Show The park does not have any visitor facilities, so make sure you pack accordingly and use the washroom before you head in. The loop trail takes travellers along the shoreline where you can see red and yellow leaves reflecting on the peaceful waters. Along the trail, you’ll find sections of floating bridges that lead to a small island for you to explore. This hike is not ideal for beginners because parts of the trail are quite rugged. But don’t worry, there’s also a three-kilometre hiking option for those who want something more chill. View this post on Instagram Last Hardy Lake run until 2020. So strap on your best boots, because this adventure is all on foot. According to Ontario Parks, this park was once completely underwater. As a result, there are a number of Atlantic Ocean shoreline plants left behind for you to admire.
