The CNE 

When: Friday, Aug. 16 to Monday, Sept. 2

Why you should go: The food, the rides, the music, and the long list of attractions!

 

The Latin Sparks Main Event Block Party

When: Saturday, Aug. 17, 7 p.m.  to 2 a.m.

Price: $39.99 General Admission. Get tickets here.

Location: 222 Cherry St.

Why you should go: With two dance floors, DJs, salsa lessons, food trucks, and more, it will be a great time for sure!

 

Pan American Food And Music Festival 

When: Saturday, Aug. 17, 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Sunday, Aug. 18, 11 a.m. till 8 p.m.

Price: Free

Location: Yonge and Dundas Square

Why you should go: See a showcase of fine talent without breaking the bank! More than 20 chefs, 40 performances and over 600 artists will be on-stage.

The Toronto Glow Boat Party 

When: Departure Saturday, Aug. 17 at 9:30 p.m. The party goes on until 2 a.m.

Price: $30-40 depending on tier. Get tickets here.

Location: 11 Polson St.

Why you should go: A glowstick boat party with hip-hop, top 40, mash-up, and dancehall music. If you wanna party on a boat, this is a great chance to do so!

 

 

Barbados On The Water Festival

When: Friday, Aug. 16 from 6 p.m. to Sunday, Aug. 18 at 8 p.m.

Price: Free

Location: Harbourfront Centre, 235 Queen Quay W.

Why you should go: Get to know the culture of Barbados and try out food, hear music, see arts and crafts, and more!

Promise Cherry Beach Soundsystem

When: Sunday, Aug. 18, 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Price: $20 

Location: Cherry Beach

Why you should go: If hanging out on the beach while dancing to house beats sounds like your jam, then this is the spot for you. Beer and food will be available for sale as well.

Sunnyside 21, Episode 07 with Joe Claussell

When: Saturday, Aug. 17, 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Location: Sunnyside Pavillion, 1755 Lakeshore Blvd. W.

Why you should go: If you love house music and partying in historic Toronto locations, this would be a great party for you. The talent is always amazing, too. New York house DJ Joe Claussell will be playing from open until close! Below is a bit of the vibe at a previous party at Sunnyside

 

RAW Toronto Presents: ARISE

When: Wednesday, through Friday,

Location: The MOD Club, 722 College St.

Why you should go: If you like visual art, photography, fashion, music, performance art, or crafts, and want to support local Toronto artists, this is the place to go!

Toronto Palestinian Film Festival's Outdoor Screening

When: Friday, Aug. 16, 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Price: Free

Location: Christie Pits Park, 750 Bloor St. W.

Why you should go: If you like international cinema and parks, a free screening of these films from Palestinian filmmakers would do you good!
