Toronto Just Got Invaded By A Gigantic Five-Storey Pumpkin For An Upcoming Festival
This is one biiiig pumpkin!
It's a well-known fact that Canadians are obsessed with fall. From specially flavoured autumn foods to harvest festivals at every corner and, of course, pumpkins, we can't seem to get enough of the cozy, colourful season. There's a brand new tribute to our crazy pumpkin obsession, and it just rolled its way into Toronto. You'll have to look wayyyy up to see Toronto Pumpkin Fest's giant pumpkin, which towers over Downsview Park.
The massive, five-storey gourd smiles cheerfully over the city, like a much friendlier, cuter, and kinder version of Godzilla. The enormous attraction is here for a limited time as part of Toronto's Pumpkin Fest, an annual celebration of the season. This year, the festival will be running from October 12 to 14, 2019.
You can meet this gigantic pumpkin king as well as partake in many other pumpkin-themed activities at Downsview Park during the festival! Explore an inflatable corn maze, pick your own pumpkins, and indulge in a delicious pumpkin pie eating contest. There's no admission to get into the event, so enjoy a day of fresh autumn air and pumpkins galore!
