While everyone has different Christmas traditions, the most common for many of us is a Christmas dinner.

But what if we want to make a new tradition? Or don't celebrate Christmas at all? Or are just really lazy and cant be bothered to do dishes this year? There's plenty of other options on what to do in Toronto:

1.Finally visit Ripley's Aquarium.

Never had time to go to Ripley's? Here's your chance! The aquarium is opened 9am to 6pm on Christmas Day and will possibly be less busy than usual... but no promises.

2. Embrace the irony and go to Caplansky's  Jewish Deli.

Mazel Tov!  While many establishments will be closed on Christmas, not this place. Make sure to try their famous famous smoked meat sandwich.

3.Catch the newest movie.

Many people don't know this, but basically all movie theatres are open. The much anticipated, based-on-a-true-story movie, "Joy", starring Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence, comes out Christmas Day. Get showtimes here!

4.Go to a fancy ass dinner at Sassafraz.

Want the amazing Christmas dinner but not put in the effort? Many restaurants around Toronto are open, but we commend going all out and going to this posh Yorkville restaurant. Did you know that Beyonce and Jay-Z once dined there? Their Ontario Cornish hen will be much better than any turkey dinner.

5. Embrace your inner Scroodge and get drunk at the Drake Hotel .

The Drake Hotel will have a special holiday menu on just for the 24th and 25th, but letsbehonest, you're going there mostly to get your drink on.
