You Can Go On A Romantic Stargazing Date At The David Dunlap Observatory This Spring
Blankets, hot cocoa and the stars.
Spring is just around the corner, which means several Torontonians will soon be spending a lot more time outdoors enjoying the warmer weather.
Those looking for a unique outdoors experience should consider a trip to the David Dunlap Observatory in Richmond Hill. The facility offers many wonderful public stargazing programs that are worth trying, including Star Talk Nights, Friends and Family Nights and drop-in nights.
The observatory is the perfect place for a date night. It doesn't get any more romantic than a night under the stars! In fact, many proposals and wedding photo shoots have taken place at the observatory over the years.
After an amazing night of stargazing, couples can also visit the nearby Weldrick-Nightstar pedestrian bridge, which has won several awards for its stunning constellation-themed design. Glowing stars along the side of the bridge and constellation names engraved on the bridge's concrete path make it a truly romantic place for a night stroll.
Some events will require tickets. Please visit TheDDO.ca for more information.
