You Can Watch All Your Favourite Holiday Movies For Free In Toronto This Season
'Tis the season!
It's officially December at that means all the scrooges out there can finally stop complaining about holiday music being played too early, Christmas lights being set up on November 1st, and being forced to watch holiday movies with their friends.
Now that December is here we can all embrace the most festive season of the year and we couldn't be more excited! We can eat as much peppermint-flavoured treats as our heart desires, make an evening event out of decorating our Christmas trees, and attend every holiday market in town. If this isn't getting you in the holiday mood, the fact that you can watch all of your favourite holiday movies for free in Toronto definitely will!
If you're looking for a way to feel extra festive this holiday season, head down to Ted Rogers Cinema for their Hot Docs for the Holidays event! They'll be screening 7 of the most popular holiday classics from December 14th until December 31st and we literally can't wait.
The best part about this event? It's completely free! Each person can secure 2 tickets each, maximum so that it's fair to everyone. If you're a member you can choose your tickets online but non-members will have to go to the box office before the show for theirs!
If you're wondering which movies made the cut for this amazing event you'll be pleasantly surprised. They're going to be screening some of our favourites including Love Actually on December 14th, White Christmas on December 15th, A Christmas Story on December 16th, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation on December 17th, It's a Wonderful Life on December 22nd, Home Alone on December 23rd, and The Dude's New Year: The Big Lebowski on December 31st.
Everyone is welcomed and encouraged to dress up in their best ugly Christmas sweaters for whichever movie they choose to attend for an extra-festive experience1 They are also encouraging anyone who comes to bring some non-perishable food items with them to donate to The Stop Community Food Centre for the holidays.
