It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas
Halloween is out, and Christmas is in. Okay, I know it's only November and it might seem a little early to be talking about Christmas, but you probably have a million relatives and more friends than you can count on your fingers that you have to buy presents for. So if you ask me, it's never too early.
And of course with Christmas and the holidays comes all the festive Christmas markets selling cute socks and comfy scarves and breathtaking light festivals. Probably the best part about the season!??
So get ready for glühwein and hot chocolate, decked out Christmas trees and dazzling Christmas lights! Here are 11 places you'll have to visit in Vancouver this holiday season! Get out there...because the cold never bothered you anyway.
Where: Vancouver Convention Centre // West 1055 Canada Place

Tired of buying your friend and family the same thing every year of Christmas? If you're not, they definitely are. Time to hit up Circle Craft this year and find some awesome and unique quality crafts to gift this Christmas, all the while supporting local talents and artists.
Where: Hycroft Mansion // 1489 McRae Avenue
When: November 17 - 20 // Open daily 11am - 9pm, Sun 11am - 6pm
The Hycroft halls will literally be decked with boughs of holly. With three levels of Christmas spirit breathing through the mansion, over 30 local artisan and unique boutique displays to feast your eyes on, and holiday entertainment, you can guarantee that they'll have your Christmas spirits high and ahead of the rest of your friends.

Glühwein, Christmas stollen, bratwurst, and chocolate churros, I know where I'm going to be this Christmas. You probably already know this one because you probably go here every year, but don't go to their usual spot at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre Plaza! They've moved! Make sure to join all their holiday festivities at the Olympic Cauldron this year. With over 40 amazing vendors from Germany (the hub of all things Christmas), Austria, Spain, US, and Canada, you know everyone is going to be happy.

Why would you go to a park in the middle of December? Because it's so freaking insta-worthy. Every year Capilano Suspension Bridge Park decks out the park in gorgeous Christmas lights that will make your jaw drop. And you know you want to post it on your insta to make all your friends jealous.
5. Trinity Street Christmas Light Festival
Where: Trinity St (2400 and 2900 blocks)
When: December evenings until 10pm
The Trinity St neighbours knows how to out do each other every Christmas by putting up amazing Christmas lights and dazzling displays. So get in the Christmas spirit and take a nice long walk along this residential neighbourhood in East Van. Visitors are encouraged to take transit or to go by foot because there is no street parking.
Where: Dundarave Beach
When: November 26 - December 17 // Every Saturday from noon to dusk, December 17 3pm - 9:30pm
Christmas at a beach, and you don't even need to be in Hawaii. Every Saturday at Dundarave Beach, the Dundarave Christmas Fair will be holding free concerts along side bedazzled Christmas trees all day long. And don't miss out on the last Saturday where they will be setting a Christmas bonfire. It's gonna be lit.

Candy canes and gingerbread men will be parading down the streets of Yaletown on November 26! With beautiful Christmas street decorations, a specialty market for all your present buying needs, street performers, and live music. And it's all free! I know your wallet's going to hurt a little inside, so CandyTown is the place to be.

Held by the Secret Lantern Society, the 23rd annual Winter Solstice Lantern Festival will be held in four different neighbourhoods all on the same day. You can even sign up to volunteer and make lanterns for the festival! With a lantern lighting procession, awesome multicultural performances, and super fun indoor activities, spend Christmas a little different this year and get lost in a labyrinth of light.

When: November 25 - December 31 // Open daily 4pm - 10pm
With over 55,000 sq. ft. of Christmas lights and sculptures, wander around and get lost in the world's biggest light maze! Literally a winter wonderland. And if that isn't enough? There are going to be over 40 local vendors and 12 food trucks to satisfy your holiday cravings.

When: November 25, 2016 - January 2, 2017 // Open daily 11am - 10pm
If you're dreaming of a white Christmas, you can be 100% sure that you'll get it at the Peak of Christmas up on Grouse Mountain. Walk through a breathtaking light installation with a backdrop of magical mountains, go snow tubing at their Sliding Zone, and Skate Under The Stars at their 8,000 sq. ft. frozen pond. Get on up there because the cold never bothered you anyway!

With a selfie spot, Vancouver's own version of the Eiffel Tower, and a new beautiful carousel amidst the illuminated garden, this year is going to be even better than the last.
