After a long week of being responsible, sometimes you just have to get your closest friends together and head downtown to make some really, really, ridiculously bad choices.

Sure, you'll regret it in the morning and if it's an especially poor choice, you might even regret it for years to come. However, as some poet has probably said, bad decisions make for some hilarious stories.

When you're 80, do you want to look back on your life and remember that time you went to bed at 10pm? Or that time you tried to do parkour over a dumpster in heels and then tried to hit on that paramedic?

That's what I thought. Here are eight great clubs to eat at, drink at, and ruin your life at.

 1. Caprice Nightclub // 967  Granville Street

Due to its prime location on Granville Street, getting to and from Caprice is super easy, which gives you an excuse to have as many drinks as you want without worrying about how you're going to get home. This multi-level club plays the regular top 40 on weekends, but plays Latin, Dance, and Brazilian Funk every Wednesday night.

2. Playhouse Nightclub // 1240 Thurlow Street

A sweet LED lighting system, chandeliers, and a heated patio. What more could you ask for? It's the perfect place to spend your whole night dancing and drinking.

3. Bar None // 1222 Hamilton Street

If you're looking for somewhere trendy to get absolutely wasted, hit up Bar None. This New York style nightclub has a wide variety of both DJs and live music, so you know it's good.

4. The Belmont Bar // 1006 Granville Street

If you're looking for an awesome variety of drinks and a cheap menu, the Belmont Bar is definitely a place you need to check out. Plus it has a huge dance floor which is perfect for embarrassing yourself after one too many.

5. Blarney Stone // 216 Carrall Street

Voted the best Irish pub in Vancouver over and over again, the Blarney Stone is the perfect place to party every night of the week. Get some great food and grab a pint or ten, you won't regret it. Not until the next morning, at least.

7. Fortune Sound Club // 147 E Pender St

Perfect if you're in to live shows! Fortune Sound Club is small enough that you can clearly see all of the action, but not so small that you feel crowded. There's always something going on, so why not stop by and check out some new talent?
