Whether you live in Vancouver, visited once, or have only seen photos, you probably know about the Capilano Suspension Bridge. It's that super picturesque treetop bridge with sweeping forest views on all sides. In the winter, Canyon Lights at Capilano Suspension Bridge makes a walk along this breathtaking path all the more magical. Canyon Lights is a special winter festival at the Cap Bridge that runs from November 22, 2019, to January 26, 2020. Hundreds of thousands of lights are strung throughout the park, highlighting the wonder and beauty of this special place even more. The glow produced by these lights is truly mesmerizing. Visitors to this festival will get access to the Treetops Adventure, a series of seven suspension bridges up to 110 feet above the forest floor. The Douglas fir trees surrounding the Cap Bridge will be lit from above and below the collar. According to their website, this makes them the eight tallest Christmas trees in the world. To get the full Canyon Lights experience, this particular attraction begins at around 4 p.m. daily, according to Vancouver's Best Places. The park will be closed on Christmas Day, but otherwise, you've got plenty of time to visit. Visitors are advised to visit the park on weekdays to avoid line-ups, especially prior to December 20th or after January 5th when it's the busiest. View this post on Instagram Caught yesterdayâs sunrise at Capilano Suspension Bridge Park with some rad folks. Grateful to @socality and @capilanosuspensionbridge for putting this together; gathering a group of like-minded creatives and individuals from place near and far for conversations and creations in one of the most beautiful places on earth! Thanks for inspiring us all! #socalitycapilano Also, frequently shooting using the #brenizermethod with my 50mm because my 35mm needs repairs and my 24mm is way too wide + lens distortions. If indoor holiday adventures are more your style, take a trip to western Canada's largest Christmas store that just opened for the season in Surrey, B.C. Or, hop across the border to Seattle and visit the world's biggest indoor Christmas light maze. The list of holiday activities in and around B.C. is endless, and the fun is just getting started.
