Now that summer is approaching - the sun is out and so is the opportunity to get out and about and take all the snaps you can! Thankfully, there are a whole bunch of new spots around town to freshen up your feed.
Location: 2305 Cornwall Avenue, Vancouver
What better way to ring in the summer on your Instagram feed than at Kitsilano's newly renovated public pool? With sparkling blue water and epic views of Vancouver, it will make your feed absolutely scream summer vibes!
Umbrella Art Display
Location: Yaletown (Bill Curtis Square)
You may have seen this one pop up on your Instagram feed lately, and it is the city's latest public art display in Yaletown. Umbrellas (and rain) go hand in hand with Vancouver, so this assortment of colourful umbrellas hanging overhead is perfect!
Rainbow Umbrella Mural
Location: La Pentola - 350 Davie Street, Vancouver
This spot actually is known for changing its wall mural every few months - so keep an eye out for new artwork. Currently it is a rainbow umbrella which is perfect for summery vibes!
Let's Be Friends Mural
Location: Eastside Flea Market - 1024 Main Street, Vancouver
Nothing adds a splash of colour to your Instagram feed like street art does - and this huge wall at the Eastside Flea Market is perfect. The slogan is cute too, so grab some friends and take some snaps in front of the mural together for some extra sweetness!
MELU Juice & Health Bar
Location: 1110 W Pender Street, Vancouver
We all know by now that trendy food is an absolute HIT on Instagram - with aesthetic pictures of ice-cream, brunch, and other delicious treats flooding our feeds. Not only do the smoothie bowls at MELU taste amazing, but they look amazing too. So not only will you look #fitspo, you'll feel #fitspo.
Richmond Night Market
Location: 8351 River Road, Richmond
Now, we're sure you've heard of Richmond's famous Night Market before - and we're not surprised. With the variety of food available (what once was mainly Asian food has now expanded into a multicultural experience), some of the items are practically made for Instagram - incuding an entire watermelon or ice-cream churro sundae in a unicorn float. The only problem - what to post on your feed.
Honey & Salt
Location: 39 Smithe Street, Vancouver
As far as brunch goes, this cafe gets it right. Not only does the food look amazing (perfect for a flatlay, lets be honest), but the interior of the cafe is beautiful. Simplistic and sheek, this spot is perfect for brunch or cocktails with the girls!
Electric Bicycle Brewing Company
Location: 20 E 4th Avenue, Vancouver
Not much needs to be said about this mural covering the exterior of this newly opened brewery. Not only is it a brewery like no other, offering outrageously good beers with gourmet bites and groovin' music (their words, not ours), but the mural grabs your attention immediately. Snap a picture outside and then hop in for some good times!
Location: 797 Thurlow Street, Vancouver
Definitely one you've seen popping up on Instagram lately, Perverted Ice-Cream is one of those spots you need to go to at least once. With their cheeky slogans and unique flavour combinations, we're sure you'll be able to think of at least one ice-cream pun for your Instagram caption.
Location: North Vancouver - 106 W 1st Street
It's like this alleyway in North Vancouver was made for Instagram. Created by North Vancouver's public art program called Studio In The City, this mural adds a pop of colour to the neighbourhood - and you can take so many fun pictures here!
Pixar Animation Exhibition
Location: Science World - 1455 Quebec Street, Vancouver
The Science Behind Pixar Exhibition at the Science World Museum is a chance to peek into the science behind the animation in some of your favourite Pixar films - if you're a film geek you'll love it! Plus, you can come face-to-face with some of your favourite Pixar characters and snap some cute pictures.
Location: 675 E Broadway, Vancouver
This one is super new - their brand opening is June 20th! Nada is Vancouver's very first zero waste grocery store, which means no packaging, no complicated labels, just food (hence, the mural on the wall). Not only is the interior so cute, but what better way to support the environment than coming here!
