Attention all foodies! This January, Street Food City is happening again and it brings together some of the most mouth-watering food trucks all together in one place. This event is totally free to check out and it offers you a chance to try dozens of different cuisines.
This community-centred foodie free-for-all is part of Dine Out Vancouver. They put on epic food events each year and offer a whole slew of special taster menus around the city from Friday, January 18 to Sunday, February 3. Vancouver is a great city for food trucks since our mild winters and walkable downtown means that there's enough foot traffic for them to succeed.
More than 20 food trucks will be on site including OG favourites like Tacofino. You'll be able to try all your most-loved food trucks and sample something new! Check out Disco Cheetah for Korean tacos and kimchi poutine or hit up Come Arepa for the most amazing Venezuelan sandwiches.
Vegetarians and vegans will not be left out in the cold at this winter food truck festival. Chickpea's filling Meditteranean food and Rolling Cashew's Thai cashew cauliflower wings will seriously hit the spot! Plus, Cheese-lovers can line-up for Mom's Grilled Cheese, Reel Mac and Cheese and Melt City.
Street Food City 2019 is on for one week from Monday, January 21 to Sunday, January 27 outside of the Vancouver Art Gallery by Georgia Street. You can fill up on food truck fare from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the weekend.
