This Vancouver Restaurant Serves Barbie Dolls Literally Dressed In Meat
And it is bizarrely delicious!
We love to bring you the new food trends around town - and today is no different!
There is a Chinese restaurant in Vancouver that serves hot pot in a bizarre and new way - but it has actually been served in China over the past few years.
Liuyishou Hot Pot in Vancouver is a hot pot chain that specializes in Chongqing (spicy) hot pot and has over 1,000 chains worldwide.
Their most recent item on the menu is a "Meat Barbie", and it is exactly what it sounds like - a Barbie doll dressed in a red and white marbled gown of meat.
Whilst the item may appear controversial (and super bizarre!), the concept isn't exactly new. It is reminiscent of Lady Gaga's raw beef dress at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards, and it has also been served in hot pot restaurants in China!
At Liuyishou Hot Pot, the Barbie can either be ordered standalone with beef for $25, or as a seafood and meat combo for $50. Weirdness aside, it certainly is a fun and unique way to enjoy your hot pot dinner!
Liuyishou Hot Pot has locations in Richmond, Robson, and Burnaby, and is open seven days a week, from 11:30 am - 3 pm and 4:30 pm - 12 am.
