The holidays are going to be over before you know it so the time to enjoy yourself and play hooky from work or school is right now. If you haven't indulged in a Christmas market or holiday light display, then what are you waiting for? Vancouver's best Christmas spots will actually transport you to Europe and they're worth checking out before winter is over.

We all have our favourite holiday events in the city that we hit up each year. But, there are some corners of Vancouver that will make you feel like you're on a European vacation.

Even though this is one of Canada's youngest cities, there are still places where you can get that old-school European charm.

If you want to feel like you've been dropped into a Hallmark or Netflix holiday movie, then these are the cutest places in and around where you can almost pretend that you're abroad.

There are places to get hot chocolate that aren't Starbucks. Places that have a distinctly European look and feel to them where you can recharge and relax.

Since Vancouver is right next to the mountains, there are a ton of places where you can imagine yourself in the Swiss Alps or in a charming Alpine town.
