This Ancient Forest Trail Will Lead You To A Surreal Waterfall In Whistler
Perfect for spending the day!

If you're in the mood for a short, easy hike through a forest to a serene swimming hole, you're in the right place!
This particular trail in Whistler is popular during the winter for snowshoeing, however, during summer when the snow has completely melted, few people know that it is actually a great place to swim and relax!
Located just a short few hundred metres from Rainbow Park on Alta Lake, Rainbow Falls in Whistler is a short, relatively easy trail.
The trail goes through a beautiful and deep forest. And although it can be easy to miss the small sign directing you to Rainbow Falls, once you do, finding the waterfall should not be a problem!
To find Rainbow Falls, follow the Rainbow Lake trail for around half a kilometre until you reach the water treatment building (Rainbow Lake is one of Whistler's water sources)! Just before the building, the trail forks.
The waterfall is relatively hidden in the forest and is therefore very quiet - all you will hear is the soothing sound of the waterfall, perfect for unwinding.
If you are in the mood for a longer hike, you can continue on the Rainbow Trail which will lead you to Rainbow Lake. If not, pack a picnic, insect repellant, sunscreen, and relax here for the day!
