They may not be naturally-occurring but they sure give you a unique taste of the surrounding terrain. There are tons of rope swing hikes in B.C. and all are begging for you to visit. We curated a list of some of the best and you should definitely pencil them into your bucket list.

One of the best outdoor activities in the province is the hikes. The views around B.C. are breathtaking and you don’t need to be super athletic to enjoy them. 

If you like to swim, or are just up for a little adrenaline, then we have the perfect hikes for you. 

In B.C., there are some epic hikes that will take you straight to rope swings. 

These swings are picture-perfect and are an amazing excuse for you to plunge into the chilly water. 

Other than the swings, you will get views of waterfalls, mountain tops, massive trees, and some of the best beaches ever. 

Cedar Lake 

Where: Columbia-Shuswap

Why You Need To Go: This spot is perfect if you’re in the mood for camping. Just to the left of the lake is a perfect rope swing that makes for a thrilling visit. Just be sure to bring your bathing suit. 


Christie Falls 

Where: Kelowna

Why You Need To Go: This hike will take you to a hidden waterfall that is stunning. The swing is at the base of the waterfall so be ready for a trek. It’s worth it, trust us. 


Sandcut Beach 

Where: Sooke

Why You Need To Go: This place is often described as “where the rainforest meets the sea.” Right by the waterfall is a rope swing that is calling your name. Be sure to bring your camera because the views here are otherworldly. 


Lions Bay

Where: Vancouver

Why You Need To Go: This spot will have you swinging through the trees like Tarzan. You’ll have to walk along the railroad tracks to get there but it’s worth it. The spot is super popular in the summer so expect to see others there. 


Brohm Lake 

Where: Squamish 

Why You Need To Go: Brohm Lake is the perfect spot to hike, swim, and set up shop on a rope swing. The swing is down by the water where people often cliff jump. It's literally the best incentive to get yourself into the chilly water.


Old Baldy 

Where: Old Baldy Mountain, Cowichan Valley

Why You Need To Go: Get ready for a real treat. The swing perfectly overlooks Shawnigan Lake which means that while you relax, you will have some seriously amazing views. This is truly what dreams are made of. 


Mystic Beach 

Where: Juan de Fuca Provincial Park 

Why You Need To Go: This hidden beach on Vancouver Island is literal magic. There is a secret waterfall and the rope swing is the perfect place to get a cute photo.
