Western Canada is such a hot spot for wine. It is full of incredible vineyards where you can spend the afternoon sipping chardonnay with friends. Despite what you might think, it's a surprisingly cheap activity too. There are tons of affordable B.C. wine tastings where you can try multiple glasses of wine for $5 or less.

These days $5 can't get you much, but it will let you drink merlot and rosé. The next time you are looking for something fun to do with friends, you need to try wine tasting.

There are so many unique spots to see that will make you feel like you are in another country. You can visit a majestic castle-like structure that would be at home in Ireland, or a Tuscan-style villa overlooking the grapevines.

But for something completely different, why not head to a towering pyramid or even a music studio? Yes, as strange as it sounds, these sites produce alcohol too.

If you aren't sure if you prefer white or red, this is the perfect activity for you. At each stop, you'll get to swirl and sip multiple types from bold reds notes of blackberries to whites that taste like tropical flavours.

So, chances are you are bound to find a few new favourites. We suggest you take a photo of each bottle you enjoy, so the next time you go shopping you can easily purchase it.
