Glad that changed yesterday🌿💜Do you ever discover hidden gems or even touristy places where you live? I think it’s great to explore what we think we “know” and find out what we don’t. • • • • • • • • • • • #authorsofinstagram #pnw #islandlife #romancewriters #authorlife #gulfislands #westcoastbestcoast #iloveBC #beautifulbritishcolumbia #ilivehere #backyardbliss #whatiwore #wiw #ootd #ootdshare #instastyle A post shared by Karina Halle (@authorhalle) on Jul 9, 2018 at 9:14am PDT View this post on Instagram Sometimes you have to stop and smell the lavender 🌿 💜 #lavender #sacredmountian #purpledreams #live #happy A post shared by Jessica (@jtsavage___) on Jul 1, 2018 at 6:29pm PDT View this post on Instagram Posed fake laughter with @888maggiemuggins obviously progressed into real genuine laughter while sitting in the midst of beautiful lavender. A post shared by Alex 🍋 (@alexandrajlemon) on Jul 25, 2017 at 7:18pm PDT What goes on at Sacred Mountain Lavender? They're a small farm with 60 varieties of lavender and they grow gorgeous purple stuff on over two acres of land. Everything here is kept small and made in-house. The plants are propagated at the farm, grown, harvested, dried and processed all at Sacred Mountain. Then, they finally distil the processed lavender into essential oils that they use to create spa products and lavender treats! You can get soaps, massage oils, teas, chocolates and more all made with their farm-grown lavender. You can feel good about buying local here and it's amazing to see exactly where your stuff comes from! It's about a 2.5-hour drive from Vancouver and you have to take a ferry from Tsawwassen to get there. Lavender typically blooms in the summer so plan to visit in July or August for the optimal lavender experience. Check out their website for more info and for updates as they come out.
