Meet The Instagram Couple That Gets Paid 6-Figure Salaries To Travel The World
They're both under 30.
For many millennials, getting paid to travel is the ultimate dream. Imagine journeying to the historic land of Bosnia, or the ancient ruins of Peru, or the balloon-dotted skies of Cappadocia, or famous beaches of the Philippines - and not having to worry about money or finances. Two millennials are currently living out that dream, and they're making six-figures to do so.
Jack Morris and Lauren Bullen are both part of a new wave of individuals called influencers, Instagram-famous entities that are not quite celebrities but have a sizable following in the social media world. The couple, who are 26 and 24 years old respectively, are getting paid by brands and sponsors for the incredible photographs they take together during their travels around the world.
The two first met in Fiji, where they both left their jobs in order to pursue their personal Instagram accounts as their business. It looks like the risk they took paid off, as they now make as much as $9,000 per photo. Some of their campaigns even span over multiple days and entail a whole lot of earnings:
"I did a job for a phone company where I flew out for three days; there were two days filming and then I had to do five photos on Instagram, and that was $35,000," Morris told Cosmo.
While it may seem like the coolest gig ever, it does come with a lot of pressure. At the end of the day, the photos they take still need to please the clients that they work for, and that requires quite a bit of creativity and planning.
The biggest tip Morris and Bullen can give to travellers who aspire to do the same as them is to be as authentic as possible. They don't use any crazy photo-editing apps or special equipment for their shots - all they rely on is a high-definition camera and a bit of Adobe Lightroom.
