Whether you are looking for a breathtaking photo shoot location or just a nice place to sit and relax, Moraine Lake in Alberta has you covered. This glacier-fed lake is possibly one of the brightest blue bodies of water you'll ever see. Surrounded by staggering mountains, this lake is something you need to see at least once in your life.

It’s time to get out your bucket list and a pen because we have an adventure that you need to write down.

Moraine Lake is a place you need to stop on your next visit to the province. As much as we may want to keep this place a secret, it is too beautiful not to share.

If you've ever seen jaw-dropping photos of Alberta on social media, they were likely taken in this area. People travel from near and far to visit the Canadian Rockies.

The water itself is mesmerizing and is an intense turquoise that can be spotted from any vantage point around the area.

Throughout the summer, this body of water will change in shade as the surrounding glaciers melt. Come June, the waters will be at their most vibrant state.

Situated in the Valley of the Ten Peaks, the lake has some astounding views that you need to check out.

Surrounded by rocky mountains, waterfalls, and climbable rock piles, the scenery is something straight out of National Geographic.

The lake itself is about 14 kilometres southwest of Lake Louise.

There is a parking lot that can be easily accessed but fair warning, it can get busy during peak season.

Just be sure to bring your camera. Everything in the area is so gorgeous and you will definitely want to preserve the memories.

If you are the adventurous type, then this lake is for you. With easy access to canoeing, paddleboarding, and hiking, Moraine Lake has all your activities covered.

It’s also the perfect place to chill and enjoy the sun and the great outdoors.

While the summer months are the prime time to visit, the wintertime can be pretty cool as cross-country skiers frequent the area.

From the bizarre but oddly cute gopher museum to scenic hikes and more, Alberta has some epic spots that you need to hit up next time you drive through.
