Right now most of Canada is just getting over the Polar Vortex we were forced to endure for the past month and I'm not going to lie, it's been rough. This winter has been unforgiving to us Canadians but luckily, Ontario might be looking at an early spring this year and we couldn't be happier!

That means, in just a few short weeks we'll be walking around in our light jackets again, enjoying time outdoors, and finally watching the flowers bloom! With this time of year comes tons of stunning flower festivals but the best one is the Canadian Tulip Festival which is actually the world's largest festival dedicated solely to tulips.

The Canadian Tulip takes place in Ottawa, Ontario and hosts over 1 million tulips in full bloom! This year the infamous tulip festival will be taking place from May 10th-20th which is the perfect time to take a road trip to our province's capital and experience the beautiful colours.

You can find the millions of tulips planted in multiple different parks in the city including Lansdowne Park, Commissioner's Park, and The Garden Promenade. This event is completely free to visitors, all you have to do is show and enjoy!

But viewing these stunning tulips isn't the only thing to enjoy at the Canadian Tulip Festival. Visitors can also participate in other activities and events such as the Tulip Art Exhibition, Tulip Mania at the Bank of Canada Museum, the Tulip Market, Photography Exhibitions and more!

If you want to experience more of the festival you can opt for a group tour experience which costs $25 and includes a tour through all of the tulip-filled parks, a souvenir, and entrance to all the events.
