As I'm writing this piece, there's an extreme cold weather warning in effect in Southern Alberta with windchills of -40°C. Other than your trusty parka, the surest way to stay warm and hopeful through the long winter is to plan a sunny getaway!

Right now, you can get awesome flight deals from Calgary to Hawaii for less than $400. If you skipped your morning latte for a couple of months, then you will have saved up enough to pay for this flight deal. With prices this low, it's too good to pass up. With the money you save on this flight, you'll be able to splurge on romantic dinners, once-in-a-lifetime experiences and more luxurious accommodations in Hawaii.

Here's how to get the deal

Google Flights is my favourite place to look around for cheap flights because their calendar is so easy to use. Try using Google Flights to search for flights from Calgary (YYC) to Hawaii including airports in Honolulu (HNL), Kahului (OGG), Lihue (LIH) and Kailua (KOA).

I searched for flights from Calgary to Kailua from Thursday, April 4 to Monday, April 15 and found flights for $380. Click through the calendar and try different airports to find the best deals for you!
