These Incredible Cliffs In Canada Will Make You Feel Like You’re In Ireland
Find your pot of gold in the Atlantic.
Far in the eastern end of Canada is a whimsical place that mirrors the allure and drama of Ireland's most iconic landscape - the Cliffs of Moher.
Gros Morne is a national park in Canada that is known for its diversity of unique landforms and breathtaking scenes. Located in western Newfoundland and Labrador, the park showcases the natural beauty of the Atlantic region, featuring everything from lush forests and freshwater fjords to towering mountain ranges and seaside towns. Every hike, paddle, and shoreline stroll in the park is accompanied by some of the most gorgeous views in Canada.
Along the park’s coast are a series of colossal cliffs that closely resemble the famous Cliffs of Moher in Ireland. Softly rolling hills and grass-covered meadows terminate at sharp edges overlooking the Atlantic Ocean below. The sound of birds, the taste of the salt in the air and the age-old rocks under your feet will make you feel like you’re standing somewhere at the edge of Ireland.
While it may not be as magnificent as the real thing, it’s still quite the spectacular sight:
This year, admission to Gros Morne is free in honour of Canada’s 150th birthday. Make sure to obtain your Discovery Pass for 2017 and visit Gros Morne this summer!
