Lockport is just over a 2-hour drive from Toronto, a 5.5-hour drive from Ottawa, a 4.5-hour drive from Kingston, and just a 30-minute drive from Niagara Falls. Their 2019 season officially started up again on May 4, and you can check the tour schedule out here. You can explore Erie Canal and the underground cave system that was blasted out of solid rock back in the mid 1800s! The tour starts you off outside by the Erie Canal where you can admire the local history, then you head to this creepy entrance that leads you down into a 1,600-foot water tunnel. The boat ride will last about 75 minutes and is dimly lit by electrical lights, so it's not pitch dark. This completely unique activity is open from May to October every year and costs $17.50 + tx for adults. This mysterious adventure is definitely one for the books this summer.
