You Need To Visit This Magical German Christmas Village Near Vancouver This Winter

The holidays are right around the corner and we're excited to start building our winter bucket lists. There's an adorable Washington Christmas town near B.C. that turns into a picture-perfect winter wonderland that should definitely be on your radar. It's actually a Bavarian-style ski town so it looks kind of like a little village in Germany.
Leavenworth, Washington is just over the border from B.C. and in December they'll have their annual Leavenworth Christmas Lighting Festival. It's the best time to visit the town so you can see it all done up in its holiday lights. It will actually make you feel like you're in Europe for the holidays. Or, at least, you'll feel like you're in a Hallmark movie.
You can visit the town at any time, but you'll want to be there on the weekends to catch the festival that'll happen each weekend in December before Christmas. Hopefully, there will be snow when you visit so you can capture as many magical shots as possible.
A trip to Leavenworth this winter would be a fun change of pace if you usually try to visit Whistler around the holidays. Plus, a road trip down to the states is a lot more affordable than a European winter getaway.

From the quaint buildings to the dramatic mountain backdrop, you have to see this place. This adorable Bavarian Christmas town is about a 5-hour drive from Vancouver. It's totally worth the drive and plus you can catch thein Seattle on the same trip.
