You Can Go On A Cruise Of A Lifetime From Greenland To Labrador
An epic adventure on the high seas.
Most Canadians spend the majority of the year waiting for the warm weather to arrive, but there may be one adventure that could convince them to go on a "chilly" vacation for once.
Adventure Canada is a travel company that provides unsurpassed experiences in the Arctic, the Antarctic, and the East and West coasts. One of the cool adventures they offer is a 2,200-mile cruise that tours the beautiful countrysides of Greenland before heading to Labrador in eastern Canada.
The journey begins in Toronto, where participants will board a flight to Kangerlussuaq, Greenland. There, they will board the Ocean Endeavour - a massive Arctic vessel that will be their home for the duration of the trip. Sondre Stromfjord, one of the longest fjords in the world, is the first stop on the itinerary, followed by northerly fishing communities of Qeqqata Kommunia and Nuuk.
On the fourth day, the vessel will sail onroute to Canada, crossing the Davis Strait alongside beautiful marine animals like minke and humpback whales. The vessel will dock in Kangiqsualujjuaq, a community in northestern Labrador that features picturesque landscapes and unique wildlife. The remaining days of the trip will be spent touring various notable locations along the Labrador coast including Torngat Mountains National Park, Hebron, Nain, L'Anse aux Meadows and St. John's (in Newfoundland).
Here are some more trip highlights:
- Set foot on the fabled Wonderstrands from the Viking sagas
