Now that we're finally in December, it's hard to imagine a time where Texas is unbearably hot, yet again. Luckily, when the spring season does inevitably roll in, we'll have tons of fun events to look forward to, and hopefully, almost all will involve some form of seafood. A lobster festival in Austin is taking place this March, and making all of our wildest dreams come true. Austin Lobster Festival is coming to the city on Saturday, March 7 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tickets are on sale now and range from $5 to $55, with the option to purchase a VIP all-you-can-eat pass! No matter what ticket option you go with, you won't be disappointed with the amount of lobster you'll be able to consume. The $20 and $25 ticket options include seafood and a lot of it. Upgrading to the $55 all you can eat VIP pass includes even more food, early entry into the event, an exclusive bar, and more. Speaking of bars, there'll be plenty of drinks to wash down all of the lobsters and other seafood you'll be consuming. This fest has thought of it all. View this post on Instagram The Long Beach Lobster Festival is this weekend! It opens this evening at 5 pm and then will be open Saturday and Sunday from noon - 10pm as well. This is one of our favorite events because it’s fun for the whole family. Aside from the fact that there’s amazing lobster and other seafood here, this is more than just a seafood event. There will be food trucks with all types of food, there’s live music, there are vendors with merchandise for sale, there is alcohol available for purchase, and there’s an entire kid’s area with stuff like bounce houses! We usually pack a blanket and make a day of it because it’s located next to Rainbow Lagoon so the setting is beautiful and there's food, drinks, and entertainment. All the essentials! Can’t wait to see everyone there this weekend! As the fest gets closer, more information will be released as to which vendors will be participating, as if we weren't already counting down the days. Sea you there, bib and all.
