With that being said, we've come up with a list of six hidden downtown Austin bars that offer a new bar-hopping experience.
Midnight Cowboy
Hours: Sunday through Thursday from 6 p.m. to midnight & Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m.

How To Get In: This incredible bar has an array of delicious cocktails, and to get in and enjoy them you must make a reservation online first. Once you arrive, ring the Harry Craddock buzzer at the entrance and you'll be all set.
Firehouse Lounge & Hostel
Hours: 12 p.m. to 2 a.m. Friday through Sunday, 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. Monday to Wednesday and 2 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Thursdays

How To Get In: Anywhere that has a hostel right next to it has to be interesting. To experience this one-of-a-kind location, give whoever is behind the counter a nod and a “no” and then slide the floor-to-ceiling bookshelf from left to right.
Floppy Disk Repair Co.
Hours: 4 p.m. - 2 a.m.

How To Get In: Swings, neon signs, and booze. All of these and more can be yours if you manage to get inside this super exclusive bar. A keycode is required that can only be given out by bartenders at HandleBar and other neighboring bars. It changes every month, so don't be surprised if you can't gain access more than once!

Hours: Mondays 4 to midnight, Tuesday through Friday 4 p.m. to 2 a.m., Saturday 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. and Sunday 6 p.m. to 12 a.m.

How To Get In: It's only semi-private for a reason. The new kid on the block speakeasy requires you to first download it's app, request a reservation through it, and then a confirmation code will be sent to you via email. Tap the code into the keypad at the entrance and you're set!

How To Get In: This hidden speakeasy just opened not too long ago, and it's almost impossible to find. No passcode required (they're giving you somewhat of a break), but it's tucked away between Happy Chicks and BBG's and can be found by spotting a glowing red light.
Watertrade (Otoko)
Hours: 5 to 10 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday

How To Get In: Walk up the South Congress Hotel courtyard stairs, open the door and go left. It's very hidden. Once inside you'll be greeted by incredible decor and drinks.
