I'm sure we all can agree that shopping for fun, colorful school supplies were probably the most exciting thing to look forward to once school started back up every year. We can also agree that once we graduated high school, we pretty much swore we'd never set foot in grade-school again. The only exception to this would probably be stepping into Public School 972, a popular restaurant in Dallas that is entirely school themed.

As soon as you walk in, there are pencil sharpeners and old fashioned typewriters on the wall.

Amongst the funky decor are multiplication and division equations hanging from the ceiling and composition notebooks presented to you as menus.

Once you see the menu, you'll immediately feel immersed in a fantastical world where teachers actually allowed mouthwatering dishes in a classroom.

The food in schools growing up was truly memorable (not in a good way) so Public School 972 definitely outdid itself with their tasty twist on the classic cafeteria food choices.

Among these choices is a delicious PB&J burger that takes the nostalgia of the traditional PB&J sandwich we all ate growing up and pairs it with a mouthwatering burger to bring us the throwback dish almost all guests will enjoy.

Their extra credit menu contains all of the sides necessary to really bring your dining experience to an A+.

As for drinks, there are a few school-themed signature cocktails that will definitely make you feel like you're at recess.

The popular Study Hall cocktail is a simple combination of Old Forester Bourbon, Apricot, Earl Grey Tea, and Cinnamon that is a favorite of their students (guests of the restaurant).

If you're looking for a unique dining experience that lets you relive the glory days of being a student without the homework, look no further than here.
