There Is A 1920s-Inspired Speakeasy Hidden Inside An Old Factory In North Florida
Prohibition is dead.
Take a step back in time at one of Florida's original structures. The Ice Plant Bar is a 1927 old factory featuring farm-to-table cuisine and hand-crafted cocktails in a speakeasy-inspired setting.
What makes this place more unique than any other bar is the attention to detail. From the bartenders to the cocktails, each element in this bar is taken into consideration. The stunning cocktails are garnished with tasty ingredients and made with timeless ice creations.
Ice Plant Bar is lauded as one of the best cocktail bars not only for the well-crafted drinks but also because of, well, you guessed it — the ice. You can find sphere ice cubes that are frozen, harvested and cut by hand on-site. If you want a drink that does not melt quickly, this is the place to have a conversation over drinks.
Besides being an integral part of their cocktail menu, the ice has a visual appeal and perfect temperature. Ice Plant Bar also serves amazing cuisine that will provide an Old Florida experience.
Their menu features a farm-to-table experience including fig parfait, french toast with roasted pears, St. Augustine Shrimp & Anson Mill’s Grits and other delicacies.
Ice Plant Bar is also part of St. Augustine Distillery where you can partake in a historic tour. According to Sherry, a Yelp reviewer "Their cocktails are a MUST. They have craft cocktails invented by their own mixologists as well as the classics."
Before you go, be aware that Ice Plant Bar does not take reservations ahead of time and cannot accommodate parties larger than six. You might find a long line on Saturday morning but we promise is worth the wait.
