You may need a bigger stomach.
Houston's food scene is among the most exciting ones in Texas. You can try anything you've dreamed about eating and dishes you didn't even know existed. However, to treat yourself to every type of food there is, you have to hunt down endless restaurants. Or you can just come to the Houston Food Festival next March and enjoy tasty bites from some of the best food vendors in the city, all in one place. Now that's convenient (and delicious).
The Houston Food Festival is back on May 30th, and you and your friends will be munching delicious creations from over 70 different food vendors from Houston, Austin, and other surrounding cities. Yes, you read that correctly.
The massive food event has been so successful in previous years that it is continuously growing with more food and drinks, with only the best quality vendors and entertainment options.
Traditionally, the venue for this foodie celebration is Midtown Park, and this year is no exception. Get ready for a day full of yumminess, fun activities for all ages, and live music.
The admission ticket is only $5, and it grants you entry to the event and access to all activities. Gather your girlfriends and discover new flavors!
You better save some space in your stomach and put a pause in the diet for this festival. We promise it will be worth it.
Here you can try everything from mouthwatering tacos to a delicious gumbo, from ice cream to vegan burgers or BBQ. Be sure to grab a refreshing Mangonada or an ice-cream taco for dessert and refresh yourself with ice-cold lemonade or the alcoholic beverage of your choice.
They will also have a stage with a musical lineup full of local bands for a whole day of dancing. Comfy shoes and clothing are highly encouraged and don't forget your sunscreen and shades.
Since this will be a food-related event, no outside food and drink are permitted. You may bring a chair if you like, or a blanket to make your picnic at the park, but no tents or coolers are allowed either.
The food vendor list is yet to be announced, so make sure to check updates here. Besides food, the event frequently features other kinds of vendors, like sports, fashion stores, or henna and airbrush tattoos.
The event is family-friendly, and organizers will be offering kid's activities for children of all ages. They even get free admission if they are eight years old or younger.
The Houston Food Fest will be happening from 12:00 to 10:00 p.m., and there are a lot of parking spaces in the Midtown Park area, right next to the Metro Rail. You can also use rideshares like use Lyft or Uber.
