Nashville is known for its super fun bars and even better music echoing throughout the city, but sometimes the hustle and bustle of night life can be a little overwhelming. If you still want to go out for drinks but you're looking for something a little more lowkey, you have to check out this speakeasy in Nashville. It has all the chill and fancy vibes you'd expect from the old-timey prohibition era. The Patterson House is a midtown Nashville icon that stands as the first ever craft cocktail bar in the city. Established in 2009, the dimly-lit, sultry atmosphere offers creative house-made cocktails with quality ingredients that totally give off all the "pinkies up" vibes. A 30-foot wrap-around bar made of sleek, dark wood marks the centerpiece of the intimate bar, which only accommodates about 80 guests. Classy chandeliers decorate the space (with one above each booth) for the ideal 1920s-style night out. The old-fashioned, sophisticated space is also complemented with a massive wooden bookshelf, coffered ceilings and leather seating. You'll spend around $13 to $14 for a craft cocktail, but it's totally worth it and we all know you deserve to splurge every once in awhile. They also offer wine and beer plus yummy, unique bar bites like shrimp corndogs, fried brie, mini burgers and fried chicken po'boy sliders. The old-fashioned "house rules" allow for a private, elegant experience and they must be followed if you want to remain a guest. They prohibit standing, use of cell phones and men approaching women (unless invited).
