Orlando Is Hosting A Massive Soul Food Festival In June
It's going to be greasy!
Food for the soul? Florida definitely has it and you need to try the best of it! One of the most highly anticipated food festivals is happening in Orlando next month and if you love soul food you won't want to miss it.
According to the information posted on the event Facebook page, the Central Florida Soul Food Festival will be happening at Eagle Nest Park in Orlando, on June 15 and 16 and they will be bringing over 15 of the best southern comfort food trucks around - as well as entertainment, live performances, and more!
Whether you prefer your chicken fried or smothered, there's one thing most of us can agree on, the cornbread is a must-have. Of course, you will want to be sure to save room for the best: dessert. Banana pudding, peach cobbler, pound cake, and sweet potato pie are just a few of the soul-sweets you can expect to find. The official vendor list has not been released yet.
Presale tickets are available on Eventbrite starting at $8.00 for "bring your chair admission," reserved seating for $20, and a reserved table for four on Sunday is $100. Additional ticket information can be found here.
Soul food is some of the most iconic American food, after all - Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurants aren't known internationally for nothin'. We can't say it's the healthiest food - but we can definitely agree it's some of the best!
The event will be open from Saturday 4-9pm and Sunday 2-8pm. Eagle Nest Park is located at 5165 Metrowest Boulevard, Orlando, Florida 32811.
The official event page can be found here.
