Sustainable choices can be limited around South Florida, but the creators of Jugo Fresh brought to South Florida a new juice bar that will keep you refreshed. Palma Juice Co. is a cold-pressed juice bar producing small-batch juice for the environmentally-conscious consumer. The juice bar focuses on serving handcrafted juices such as Leche de Tigre, made-to-order açaí bowls, smoothies, like the Antioxidant Beso, and wellness shots like Throat Candy. Each juice is made with the environment in mind and all products are bottled in glass and served in reusable or biodegradable wares. Their #NoMasPlastico slogan encourages people to avoid plastic use. Palma Juice Co. is part of the Great Lakes Friendly Restaurants which focuses on increasing awareness about plastic pollution. View this post on Instagram - No More Plastic - It reads in Spanish, the product being sold (fresh juices) is served in plastic bottles. Now, this is a huge communication flaw, much like waste and pollution is a HUMAN Flaw... I’m reaching a point of constipation with the entire sustainability movement, which parades with a goodwill flag towards the environmental and people, yet those so called eco brands seem to lack a thorough understanding of the word #sustainability as well as their claims behind their brands. The fact of the matter is how do WE move away from an unsustainable [@fashion] industry to one that addresses radical & progressive solutions to the problems faced by planet and its world community. #sustainability #ecofriendly #saynotoplastic A post shared by Benjamin Alfaro Bejar (@bazaar_wallah) on Jul 14, 2019 at 12:01pm PDT Palma Juice Co. is currently working on how to eliminate plastic caps from the bottles and eliminate the use of plastic completely from their brand. Palma is committed to not using any single-use plastic and taking steps to reduce its carbon footprint. “We only use produce at its peak freshness while keeping our process small-batch and made-to-order." says Darren Laszlo, head chef at Palma Juice Co.
